NLP Basics

By Darryl Howrie

NLP simplified, explained and made easy...how your brain really works & how to gear it for optimism, resilience, congruence, self-esteem, abundance and living with intention! We use the term 'magic' in NLP to speak about the very structure and experience of excellence. So when anybody does something in a superb and wonderful way- from learning, decision making, staying motivated, being resilient, operating proactively, managing, making wealth, selling, etc., we know that that experience has structure and that we can learn and replicate that magic.

Half-life Framing – the secret science of ‘one-liners’

By Darryl Howrie

Have you ever heard a single line that changed your life? Has there ever been a time where the whole conversation seemed to be going one way and then all of a sudden went upside down?  Have you ever gently nudged a person on their journey to the land of speechless? Where hearing your comment throws them mid air with a look like ‘where’d the floor go?’ or ‘who pulled the carpet out from under my feet?’ Or perhaps the ‘smouldering’ look sitting there baking as blood rushes to their face integrating new pictures, sounds and feelings on the cinema of their mind. Wow that’s exciting! One line has and can change our neuro semantic reality can’t it. As humans we can have and continue to enjoy “once off learnings”.

Dynamic-role-ing - using an alter-self for success

By Darryl Howrie

The Dynamic-role-ing model really offers some unique properties about NLP and its recent evolutions resulting increasing congruence i.e. using NLP on itself more and more. This approach is in opposition to the NLP belief “map is not the territory”. But try as we may, we tend to be believing of this constant (our current reality) deception – e.g. keep telling yourself your map is not your “territory” and you’ll likely come undone and end up with some contagious new mental disorder. Meaning making is so much apart of our entire neurological make up and experience we simply without questioning too much all continue gluing-up our maps to these experiences and realities. We couldn’t really believe anything that has not come in through our 5 senses anyway right? I mean where does reality start inside or outside?
